A place to discuss this event.

239 Acres.
Main boat launch.

No shortage of panfish in this lake. Decent sized perch have been hard to come by in recent years, but nice bluegills and crappies. Although not common, numerous 14-15" crappies are caught each year.

The Fish Commission page for this lake, although panfish population have improved since the surveyhttp://www.fish.state.pa.us/water/lakes/walker/00walker.htm

Hey Wayne,

Nice pics, it can be a tough lake sometimes but it has it's moments. Should start to see some keeper size wallyes this year, after the last four years of stocking following several years of not puting any in.

Hi Byron,

I was totally unprepared to get serious that day, I was rowing, and no electronics installed in the boat. I want to start picking some spots for hard water fishing, and we can sure check the bottom out a lot faster this time of year.
Funny you should mention the Walleye, of the 8 fish we heard about being caught that day, one was a nice Walleye that was released, I believe the guy said 17".

Come on Byron, we all know the only thing Walker's good for is a place to cook on the grill  Looking forward to seeing what this site has in store.

Hi Jim,

Good to see you on here, sorry we're not having any carp catching events

Should be interesting to see what gets pulled out when there is cash on the line......

Hey Jeff there's alot of Love here for Holman its one of mine and I believe Byron's favorite lakes. However it is a state park which make it difficult to have a "fishing tournment" . This is the reason we are using fish commission lakes which are intended to be used by fishermen here in PA
